Default I got me a MSPNP and I have questions

I've been popping in and out of the forum for a year and now I have a question. how d oi convert a 94-97 mspnp to work with my 90?

Background, I bought this unit with 2 burned resistors and a couple burned traces. I fixed the damage and now want to adapt this unit for my car. Any help is appreciated.

It's all in the wiring and pin outputs. But I believe on the mspnp the plug is built into the case making it difficult to change. My opinion would be to sell the pnp and pick up another for whatever year you need, becuse changes are most likely to be difficult.

Is there a way to test the unit before I sell it or trade it for what I need?

DIYAutotune sells the Jim Stim. I just don't know if it works with a PNP or not:

The MSPNPs have the pinout hardwired into the adapter circuit board; I'm afraid there isn't a good way to change what years they are for short of replacing the board. '96-'97 ones used a different case as well.

Thanks all, I'm going to test out to be sure the repairs are fine then sell/trade it. I would prefer a ms for my car though.

Just make a jumper harness between the car's harness and the MS using the pinout diagrams as your guide. You can buy the connectors from DIY Autotune.
