Default Howdy

Im visiting from over the pond, have recently picked up a 97 Eunos VR-Limited and loving it so far.

Straight in with the issues though, Im trying to set the base idle, but when I join the TEN and GRD pins both fans come on, doesnt matter if the car is cold or hot, has anyone experienced this before?

Hope someone can help, electrics gremlins are my pet hate

Look forward to having a nose round.

welcome to MFz, what front end is that?
and on with your issue, i guess i would make sure there are no pins touching one another inside the box and beyond that i wouldn't know where to begin.

BTW, Welcome!

I thought that is the intent of joining the TEN and GRD to test your fans and bypass your thermal switch or am I confusing with something else.

Im wondering if its because there is an underlying issue that it is highlighting, people have said just unplug the fans and set it, but theres no way of knowing if its actually holding the timing and base idle...

Welcome! Wow nice looking car. I always wanted and still do a lotus europa. Everyone in the states hates them and thinks they are ugly. Seems only the British get that car.

Yeah it looked awesome

Have reshelled it as that shell was rotten, sills and rear arches were crap.

Now have a solid shell with the 1.8 running gear in it, but still the same stupid electrics issue.
