If this is an attempt to be rude I am simply asking a question.

once again, if you follow 949's recommendations, then it depends on your application. for track use that comes out to 900, for street use you are looking at 500-600+. For the inbetween, you got 700-800 range.

I don't know about the 302 or whatever, but most LSx conversions are adding about 200ish lbs? or maybe it was 250ish. Either way, you get the idea.

Moti from Blackbird Fab made a comment that with a stock chassis NA once you get over 550# in the front it's kinda pointless, unless you have a full cage or butterfly, since the car begins to flex more. You need to compensate for the extra weight of the 302 but I'd try 600 and then go stiffer if you feel you need it.

The cage I believe. But the butterfly brace will not as significantly effect torsional (twisting) stress through the middle of the body as door bars will. The butterfly brace would generate its most usefulness in preventing the car from 'folding' in the middle but would still not be nearly as effective as door bars due to their triangulation. And door bars are less expensive than the butterfly brace.

I don't think he was trying to be rude 949racing.com has a ton of good info. If you haven't been there, it's worth checking out.
