hook it up directly to your battery. Sometimes power wires are a bit weak, especially if they are old and being reused (break in a wire).

If it doesn't turn on period when hooked up to a good battery, then its DOA and should be sent back.

Unless, you hooked it up wrong which is a different case entirely.

the gauge is getting power measured at the connector for the gauge, but the backlight doesn't come on

going to get the o2 sensor replaced with the one supplied with the wideband.

RedTurboMiata Jan 22, 2012 04:52 PM

had to remove the turbo to get to the down pipe, both the downpipe and the turbo to the manifold were loose. the downpipe at the mid pipe had a large exhaust leak, and the stock o2 came out no problem. wtf

new gaskets on the way. this thing is going to run great when its done.

wait, were you using the stock narrowband o2 with your wideband gauge?

no, i had the new sensor hooked up and grounded to the block like it would be on the exhaust. i fail at some parts, but that seemed obvious to me at least. i just need to tap the narrowband signal wire for the stock ecu if i chose to use it. (which i dont think i am)

I'm going to try a different power source, but the boost gauge works from the same one and the gauge is getting power so I'm convinced its doa
