Suggestions:

Add rollbar. Take car as is (aftergiving it a good going over, refreshing all fluids, brake pads, etc) to a track day. Have fun.

Then, add power (SC) after:
1.) Brakes (track pads, track fluid, minimum)
2.) Upgrade suspension (shocks/springs min, coilovers better, frt swaybar, endlinks).
3.) Track car a few more times.
4.) Add proper seat and harness.
5.) Add power. Have fun.

Seems lots of guys do the sequence backwards. Power first, with crappy suspension, tires, and worse, crappy brakes. Not fun. Not safe. Don't be that guy at the track.

Yeah, it's expensive, but you can do it in stages, find good deals on used stuff, and still track the car while building it and getting good seat time. When you can wring out fast clean sessions with 100hp, then 200hp is easier.

I'm sure I'm forgetting some stuff, but you get the idea. Have fun and enjoy the sickness of miata.

Edit: Just re-read one of your responses where you are going to drive it stock for awhile and got the deal on the used autoroter. Sounds like you are already going in the right direction. Try and get a HardDog Hardcore bar. Passes all trackday techs in my neck of the woods. The hardtop version puts it a little more reward, to clear the side latches. Start looking for a deal on a hardtop now..it takes awhile.

I just assumed tires were a given I'm not sure what I'm going to get and breaks I don’t know I will do some reading I was thinking just changing to a track pad would be good enough.

I want the seats sooner than later and I’m not looking for some flashy seats with logos everywhere just nice black seats that hold me in place.

The suspension is slightly modded from what I'm told it’s going to be 1 inch lower then stock.

I am sure I won’t see 200 hp in this car maybe 150-175 if I spend a few more bucks.

I also will be trying to figure out ways to strip it down but not making it uncomfortable to drive around town as a DD

Have you looked at the harddog duece roll bar. It is back far enough it won't bang your head and low enough you can get the top up add a couple of the stiffeenrs that go along the doors
I am in the process of going this way .Have talked to a couple of people that have them and looked them over
