Dies randomly, then wont turn over for about 5 min
I posted this in the other miata forum, looking for some help here:
My wife told me today for the first time (grrr) that her 1999 miata with Flyin'Miata turbo dies randomly. It has about 45,000 miles. Today it died when she was making a left turn on to another very busy street, died halfway thru the left turn. This time would not start. Would not even turnover. After a few minutes sitting in the intersection with people honking at her, she turned the key and it started. No more issues the rest of the way home. So, not the starter, and not the fuel pump, battery less than a year old. Only thing she could not remember is if the dash lights were still working or not. Once it decides to start, it cranks right over, no issue.
Need some direction from you gurus.
