Hey hey from Utah
Hey everyone I'm Emma, I am a petrolhead i like that better than gear or motorhead. I have not bought a MX-5 or Miata yet but I will. I have done off roading with Suzuki Samurais and Sidekicks and its just getting old, I wanna go fast now. I do my own work boys, so I can rebuild an engine or transmission change brakes or oil so yeah I can do that. Learned it from my dad, he told me "Buy a car that I have to work on, you save money." but I spend money making an old car better thats expensive. I love motorcycles just been into that for a year now got a Honda Grom great fun and on gas prices 125mpg thankyou very much.
I am wanting to get a model where they don't have the flip up headlights which is 98-till now, if I read right. Unless someone can sell me on an older one great price just more work. Let me know.

Would you be interested in one that has been turbocharged? You said you wanted to go fast, and that is the best way.
The '99-'05 cars had better breathing cylinder heads for more power potential than the earlier cars. Stay away from the factory turbocharged "Mazdaspeed" cars because they had convoluted turbo and ECU systems, a very small turbo, and are more difficult and expensive to modify.
Let me know what you are looking to spend and what options you are looking for and I will keep watch on a few of the other forums, too. Some cars are masterfully modified and some... aren't.
Are you looking to enjoy the open highway, carve canyons, or do some open trackdays on the local road course? It makes a difference in how the car should be set up.
