no. I rock a HT. I used my hood prop.

mitsubishi designed it to be protected so someone couldnt break into the under hood area, go figure right. so you see very little of it, and what you see is not enough to pop the hood.

well the theory is true, when all else fails use a bigger hammer. turns out if you hit the latch in the right spot it pops right open.

Nice! Hammer = 1 Latch = 0

now to figure out the next step. lighting it on fire is not out of the question still.

Have you tried going from under the car yet? Getting to the latch from under should be no problem. That's probably what the dealership is going to do.
