Yeah, we tied the all time record high of 105, 2 days in a row this past week for rdu at Raleigh. This heat wave can go back to hell where it came from, it is bad when the low 90's feel cool. I went catfishing at a local lake last night, and I was sweating at 3 am.

&^$%& I've been busy. Work sucks. College sucks. I happened to grab the 2 professors that want a 7-10 page essay EVERY FLIPPING WEEK. I haven't been able to do $#!^ with my Miata's or even post anything lately. My 95 is laid up at my boy's garage with the paint stripped off it, and I can't find time to go shoot it.

On the plus side, I get to go to Spain for 2 weeks at the end of the month. That should be fun.

You're in luck. I can write 7 - 10 page papers all day long. If you finish all my projects for me, I'll write your papers

Spain sounds fun! Going with Uncle Sam Navy?

Yup. Government money funding my vacation.

You know what the worst thing about college is? Finding a degree that interests you. It seems like you have to make a choice between something that is profitable and something that you actually give 2 ***** about.

I chose profit. You need a sugar momma to follow your dreams at our age.

Having chosen the unprofitable major many years ago, let me urge you with every fiber of my being to choose the profitable major. It will allow you much more freedom to enjoy your free time than the other. When you have a good job you can spend more money doing things you want and traveling places you would like to go than if you do not.

I know a guy that makes good money as top level accountant by day that occasionally plays music in bars for fun at night because he loves music, and travels around the world with days off galore and money to burn. He has a nice car, a nice house, and a real honey of a younger wife.

Another guy who majored in music because he loved it is scraping by as a music teacher teaching ungrateful punks, playing music in bars because he has to pay the bills, and has to pick up a day job during the summer break. He can't afford the car he wants, the house he wants, the trips he wants to take, or the girl he wishes he could take there.

Both loved music and took advanced music classes in school. Only one was dumb enough to think his hobby would make a good career.

When you see a mechanic driving a piece of junk car that never gets any attention, it isn't because he isn't interested in cars. It is because the thing he loved to do has become work to him instead of being something special he does for enjoyment. Many mechanics can't stand to work on their own cars anymore even though it was a passion for cars that got them started initially.

My advice, never get a Bachelor of Arts degree, only a Bachelor of Science. There are lists of the top degrees for starting salaries out there that aren't difficult to find on the internet. You could pick one that pays $20k or one that pays $80k, and the degree costs about the same to earn.

^^YUP, that's what I was getting at.

I would love to work in the aviation, automotive, or have my own farm. But, this gig makes me cash and allows me to enjoy time with the family and my hobbies. As a German Coworker once taught me. We should work to live, not live to work. This gig is a means to support my other passions.

I have several in my family that majored in music so Six's example makes me grin. One friend is trying to get into a PhD program right now. Mommy and Daddy back in Hong Kong have some deep pockets, but this poor girl isn't going to find work when she finishes.
