First AutoX 2nd place
Well when I had my VVT problem I took the car to a miata shop. They race spec Miatas and RX7 and the Mechanic said those plugs (ngk iridium) give you +6hp on a stock motor
He gave me the used plugs and wires foooo free off their race car.
If I have a 2001 block with a 99 head I should be using a 99-00 headgasket right?

yes you should if you have a reroute.
I don't know about that +6hp crap, maybe for spec miatas where they do all that wire+plug+coil matching crap, they will turn up a decent number more than picking something off the shelf.
Personally, I have stuck with the stock ngks and they haven't really given me any trouble. BTW what is the gap on the plugs? it looks huge.
