Apparently it cuts down in squeaks, you should be fine. It's a fairly easy install though, especially considering how much work you've done, do you really not want to tear it apart again?

Nah I'll probably end up putting it in. If it was one of those things where everyone just removed it with aftermarket stuff then I wouldn't bother. But if there is even a slight chance on it helping with something I'll put it in. It will really only take 2 seconds anyways.

Probably a good idea. Especially if it goes between the top hat and the strut tower as I suspect. This would be an easy place for corrosion to start since it would most likely be two unlike metals touching. Not to mention the squeaks. The guy that built my skyline left those out and now the top hats are corroded really bad.

It would be pretty terrible to do all this work and then have that happen.

I got bored so I decided to get the Garage Star license plate thingy, and their hard top mounts. Talk me out of forever removing the soft top.

Dude, you live in Texas! You should be sending me your hard top to survive our cold summers and driving with your top down 24x7. You only got a dusting of snow down there.

I have short hair, so I don't get to enjoy the wind blowing in my hair. We went like 100 days with no rain so if I remove the soft top it doesn't mean I can't go out driving with the HT off. I just have to watch the weather

I'm definitely gonna keep the soft top though. I'll wait for my 90-93 to remove all the worthless stuff like that.

100 days with no rain is something hard for a MidWesterner to fathom. I hear you on the short in my case lack there of hair to blow in the wind.

I still think you should give me your hard top.
