What is your diagnosis Ari on the cause of death? Do you think your rods just couldn't handle your baller driving and expert application of bad *** power at the track and experienced catastrophic failure?

were the rods pulled in this shot? Looks like the pan was still attached.

can you explain the rotation of #4?

The bottom end was not opened at this point. The camera flash makes it look rotated. If you look closely at the near side of the No 4 piston, the exhaust valve relief cuts are aligned with the block. The flash also shines on the No 1 piston.

No 4 (far right) is not twisted.

that rod never knew what happened, has to have been north of 250tq.

oh okay. i was like WTF?!


you still had some major detonation going on and i think that's what ultimately killed them.

Yeah me too!

It's possible Scott. Just because I didn't hear any detonation doesn't mean there wasn't any. All I know is that the car ran really smooth.
I'll make some det cans next time to be sure. The sad thing is that I had the camera in the car when it happened and forgot to turn it on.
It would have been great footage.
