Getting frustrated, it's as easy as 1,2,3!

Step 1: Begin re-aligning the trunk lid on your miata. Be sure to have a micrometre or some other measuring device at hand.
Step 2: After loosening the bolts, adjust the lid's position accordingly, then tighten in place. Measure the gaps around the lid and then shut it properly (with the latch fitted).
Step 3: Check clearances. It is important to note that at this stage the lid is most likely going to be way off! Check that your 2 dosh micrometre/measuring tool hasn't moved off it's original measurement. Repeat steps 2-3 for a long time and/or give your miata an interesting new name....

Fitting a custom luggage rack to my car and using the gap between the lid and qaurter panel to run a steel plate through; the gaps weren't even so I aligned them. Plate fits where I need it to and my school project can now progress
