as bad of a design as the supercharger is, it's still something i can sell to put that money towards a different power adder. for the same price... i agree that the blue '99 is not as in good shape, but being the mechanic guy that i am, i start to go crazy if i don't have something to work on. So projects are right up there for me. (thats why i have my current miata) the reason i want the blue '99 is becuase it's pretty much where i wanted to take my current miata but... it's just someone else funded that process, so in the long run it's saving me money.

Hmm, sorry about that. Somehow I managed to post that before getting the message on there. I figured you would have better luck finding information if someone knew the guy from the other forum. I had just looked at that ad before coming over to this forum. I must've missed the part about not posting links to other miata forums, I'm sure the mods will delete it if it's an issue.

ok so i'm very close to buying this car. things are looking positive.
however for my drive back home to canada, i would LOVE to have the factory hood as well. I'm a crazy man and have little fear of things.
my question is, can i strap the factory hood to the roof to bring it home? wind resistance will be in question as well as the worry of catching a gust of wind and it catching the hood causing it to tear off the roof. thoughts?

I really hope you're not going to pay $8500 for that. I understand you really like it and all, but there is way more better put together miatas for less money.
Seriously...
That price is 3rd gen RX7 territory, not all jacked up miata pricing.
