I got the block, crank, pistons and rods back from the machine shop. Both parts checked out fine. The crank was micro-polished and balanced along with the pistons and rods. The block was hot-tanked and honed. We pressure washed the block and then I painted it red.

I'm digging the red. I was thinking blue for mine.

I assembled the head and cleaned the block gasket surfaces last night. Now that this camera is not acting up as much, took some more pics.

This evening I prepped the oil pan for the drain fitting and assembled the pistons and rods.

I installed the ARP studs, crankshaft and pistons and rods. I also made a keychain. Thanks to Dem768 for the idea.

Yesterday I finished building the engine and today I installed the engine. Tomorrow I'll finish all the connections and fire it up. The paper on my windshield is the todo checklist.
