Yeah the Adaptronic is scalable so if I run into issues there at least I have a fix.

Picked up some meats to try out for the rear. I give it another 13 miles or so until my transmission explodes... again..


Not the worst tire in the world. Going from a 205 to a 225 and a better tire should do me pretty well though.

Just finished up with some Dyno tuning. On a Mustang Dyno @18-19 PSI the car produced 310hp and 290tq without methanol. I'm happy with those numbers but I believe the turbo had run out of flow.

I'll tune for meth next week and hopefully pick up another 20-25whp.

Boost Peak 19 tapering down to 17 PSI
Flat foot shifting setup properly
Launch control setup and enabled


Car's drivability is completely different. Power hits hard but is smooth power and holds it for much longer. I'm extremely happy with the tune off of meth and cant wait to tune with it. Given the fact that this dyno is notoriously low and my drive train percentage loss estimated on the minimal end, we're looking at 360 at the crank. Limited at this time by the turbo.

And then... So the transmission lasted about 3-4 hours after the tires were installed and the car had the new tune. Snapped pretty hard in the middle of 2nd gear- likely when my torque spike comes in. Poor little bish. As many of these things as I break it really should start to make me feel bad. But I get this grin of accomplishment when they snap.


6 speed has been purchased. We don't play. Not sure why I keep fixing things so quickly. It's the middle of winter. I think this weekend I'll take care of some things I've been putting off in favor of performance. This is what I've come up with for my setup.. Not that sweet. I should start in second gear.




I have my OEM front fascia piece so I'll pull my front and rear bumpers and re paint them. The front has a couple of scuffs I'd like to clear up. I'm also considering ducting my fog light openings up into the bay or at least my air box. The rear bumper has the OEM holes from the emblems that have been removed. Also - Given the car's history of exploding transmissions I should probably install a tow hook. The tow truck guys keep running cables under my car to the control arms which means the cables touch my front bumper as is.




Also - I saw this at SEMA in the ford booth.. My wheels would take this look very well but I'm torn. Do it? Do it red? Do it white? Feedback from you cats?

I think it would look cool just like that. Why not change out your rear end gearing as well?

looks ok, but I would do it in a symmetrical way. so perhaps every other spoke? and do it white to keep with the car

I really like the glowing manifold in the dyno pic. You may still want to consider doing something different with your POLYPROPYLENE lines before too long. If the glowing orange header is 1400*F then the lines must be not far from trouble.

From Wiki:
The melting of polypropylene occurs as a range, so a melting point is determined by finding the highest temperature of a differential scanning calorimetry chart. Perfectly isotactic PP has a melting point of 171 °C (340 °F). Commercial isotactic PP has a melting point that ranges from 160 to 166 °C (320 to 331 °F), depending on atactic material and crystallinity. Syndiotactic PP with a crystallinity of 30% has a melting point of 130 °C (266 °F).[2]

Yeah I'm not sure of the exact material but it's rated to 700F so I'll rock it until it gives me problems? I kept an eye on it during the dyno time and it wasn't even feeling soft (much like the black lower-temp line had done in the past).
